‘Underdog will Fly’ is a series of electronic paintings on human suffering and resilience – in the midst of our media consumption. My paintings “Your Freedom- my luxury, Pietà” and “Next!, (aftermath) Sheltered – Skip this ad” were shown in: ACM Siggraph Digital Arts Community Members’ Reel at the ACM Siggraph conference , Los Angeles, July 30 – August 3, 2017, Chair and curator: Victoria Szabo, Duke University

A poetic motion design video on effects of our own consumption habits. It is part of a larger project that includes an installation, prints, and a facebook page.

Machinima | Connect: Information Technology at NYU

“InterActions” lecture series in the Interactive Media department of Nanyang Technological University School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) will begin on February 4 5pm with a lecture by Mechthild Schmidt Feist ! (fb post by Tamiko Thiel, Visiting Professor ADM)

 

The series continued with Talks at Assumption University, Communication Arts – CGI, Bangkok and Sàn Art Gallery, HCMC (Saigon)

In the ‘Engaged Media Series’ I address the responsibility and reflection inherent in using the powerful amplification of Digital Media. As a citizen, professor and artist I point to ethical choices in general and specifically work towards the use of media as a powerful agent for Climate Change awareness.
